In your scurry to live on

leave me behind to fend the demons,

now that you are all gone.

Tie me up.

Let them free upon me.

My shrieks are of no use to you.

You’ve found halcyon

in the days beyond.

live on in your sour calming dreams,

while i embrace what seeds of agony

Shrivel up.

walk past the lanes of nostalgia,

remember how we used to be.
