Dear Fear

Dear Fear.

Why do you hearken,

But dare not interfere?

Why do you lay in rest,

but cry in moans when naked near?

When she squirmed

dying, bleeding,

screaming for the ears to be heard.

Why did you cower?

When they slammed the walls,

rammed through the barricades,

lead in through our defensive guard,

Why did you only take cover?

Dear Fear

Why do you sulk in sweet veneer?

When you know you’ve caused the agony.

When you know you’ve ruled your own tyranny.
